Chris Massey

Facilitator

Japanese Garden

A bit more about me ...

Chris is a facilitator who has spent the past two decades helping people around the globe get the most from their human interactions. With a focus on interpersonal communication, he specialises global communicative effectiveness, team development and facilitative leadership.

For more than 20 years, Chris has worked across the commercial, public and social sectors, spending over half of this time living and working outside his native UK. He uses this diverse experience to help others communicate effectively across cultural divides – whether sectoral, organisational, national or generational. He firmly believes that the ability to flex our own habitual ways of thinking and communicating lie at the heart of true connection and leadership.

After spending eight years living in Japan, Chris went on to gain a distinction-level MA in Intercultural Communication. He is also an RSA/Cambridge certified EFL teacher, and is accredited to administer WorldWork’s International Preferences Indicator and Team Trust Indicator psychometrics. He is passionate about language, speaking Japanese and German, and is embarking on a journey to learn British Sign Language.

Since retuning to the UK, Chris has settled into rural Buckinghamshire with his partner, Mayuko, and their baby daughter. When the British weather allows, he loves getting outside for hikes, bike rides and camping in the countryside.
